What is the Diglot editor? A rich-text writing space with a side-by-side bilingual view, AI tools in the right panel, an easy way to accept or reject AI edits, and a Cmd+K command box for quick help.

How many paraphrase modes does Diglot have? Ten — including standard, academic, formal, casual, concise, creative, simple, expand, humanize, and a plagiarism-safe mode. Free includes the standard mode; Spark unlocks nine; Pro unlocks all ten.

How does translation work? Write in your own language, select the text, and get an English translation. Diglot reuses your past translations and your personal glossary so things stay consistent and fast.

What grammar checker does Diglot use? A reliable grammar engine runs on every plan, with extra AI checks (depending on your plan) to catch the subtler mistakes. Use the quick-fix shortcut to apply a fix inline, or Correct All to review every change at once.

What is AI Check / Humanize? It scans your text for how AI-like it reads, then rewrites the flagged parts to sound more natural. The tab is called Humanize, and it shares its allowance with paraphrasing.

How does plagiarism checking work? A fast preview gives you a quick read in seconds, and an optional full scan checks the whole document. For each match you can rewrite it, add a citation, or mark it as something to exclude.

What templates does Diglot have? Nine built-in types, including argumentative essay, cover letter, CV bullets, professional email, academic essay, thesis abstract, report, blog outline, and statement of purpose. AI Fill drafts each section for you.

How do citations work? Add sources several ways, pick from six styles (APA, MLA, Chicago, IEEE, Vancouver, Harvard), search by topic to find references, and Diglot builds the bibliography at the end of your document automatically.

How does export work? Pick a format — Word, PDF, Markdown, HTML, or plain text — and Diglot prepares the file with your headings, lists, images, and reference list carried over. Free exports plain text; paid plans unlock the other formats. Full academic page formatting (title page, running head, page numbers) is planned but not available yet.

What is the Cowriter? An AI writing assistant that can translate, paraphrase, check grammar, find citations, check plagiarism, search your research library, and edit your document directly. It has three modes: Ask (questions), Edit (direct changes), and Plan (step-by-step writing plans).

What is the Authorship Certificate? Signed proof that you wrote your document inside Diglot. It records your writing process, gives an honest verdict, and produces a shareable PDF plus a public verification link.

How do I manage or delete my account? Go to Settings → Account for your profile and data export, and Settings → Security for active sessions. Deleting your account has a 30-day grace period before anything is permanently removed, and you can export all your data first.

What are the AI quality tiers (Fluent / Smart / Native)? Three levels of AI quality. Fluent (Free) is fast and capable, Smart (Spark) is a step up, and Native (Pro) uses the most advanced models. You can switch per request right in the editor.

What languages does Diglot support? The interface is available in English, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian, and Chinese. The translator handles a wide range of language pairs, including ones that use different scripts.

How do I sign up? Sign in with Google in one click, or use email and a password. A short setup wizard (about two minutes) gets you going, with an optional 7-day Spark trial and a couple of starter documents ready for you.

Is my writing private? Yes. It’s encrypted in transit and at rest, AI partners are contractually barred from training on your content, and you can export or delete your data at any time.

How does the referral program work? Share your link, your friend signs up, and you both earn word credits. Reach milestones (3, 10, or 25 friends) to unlock temporary AI quality boosts.

Is there a desktop app? Not for download just yet — it’s built but not publicly released, with a launch planned after beta. Use the web app in the meantime.

Does Diglot work with Google Docs, Chrome, or mobile? Not through built-in tools yet — a browser extension, a Google Docs add-on, and mobile apps are all on the way after beta. For now, the web app works in any browser, including on your phone.

How does the file manager work? Your dashboard shows your documents as a list or grid, with folders, drag-and-drop, favorites, a trash you can restore from, bulk actions, and search.

Where are the settings? Everything lives in one Settings window with tabs for Account, General, Billing, Notifications, Invite, Interface, Hotkeys, and Security. There’s no separate settings page.

What keyboard shortcuts does Diglot have? Cmd+K opens the command box, a quick-fix shortcut applies grammar fixes, ”/” opens the slash menu, and there are shortcuts for the Authorship Certificate, AI Check, and more — many of them customizable.

Can I share my document with someone? Yes. Click Share in the editor to create a link. You can add a password, a view limit, or an expiry date. Recipients see a read-only view and don’t need a Diglot account.

What notifications does Diglot send? The bell shows finished scans, ready exports, Cowriter results, usage warnings, referral rewards, billing events, and security alerts. The important ones also pop up as alerts, and you can configure it all.

Using Diglot day to day

What happens when I hit a usage limit? You’ll see gentle warnings as you get close, then at the limit a red banner with an upgrade option and the affected buttons paused. Daily features reset at midnight UTC; monthly ones reset on your billing date.

How do Diglot’s features work together? A typical flow is: structure, draft, translate, check, polish, verify, export. A full academic paper might use many features end to end; a quick email uses just a few. Free covers the basics, and Spark and Pro unlock the full chain.

What common errors might I see? Running out of a feature (red banner with an upgrade prompt), connection issues (a retry button), the AI timing out (an automatic retry), and the beta waitlist page. Most clear up on their own or have a clear next step.

How do I get started with Diglot? Sign up, finish the short setup, open a starter document, and try Cmd+K to talk to the Cowriter. A good first week: lean on Grammar and the Translator daily, then explore Paraphrase and Templates.
