Settings
Settings is where you manage your Diglot account — your profile, your writing preferences, your plan, notifications, and security. Everything lives in one tidy window, organized into tabs, so you don’t have to hunt around.
How to find it
Section titled “How to find it”- Click the gear icon in the sidebar.
- Or open the user menu in the sidebar and choose Settings.
You can also assign a keyboard shortcut to open it (in the Hotkeys tab).
What’s in each tab
Section titled “What’s in each tab”Account
Section titled “Account”- Edit your display name and email
- Upload and crop your profile picture
- Export your data — download everything as a file
- Delete your account (you’ll type a confirmation phrase first)
- Open the billing portal
General
Section titled “General”- Your default translation languages (the pair you use most)
- Your default paraphrase style (standard, academic, formal, casual, concise, or humanize)
Billing
Section titled “Billing”- Your current plan (Free, Spark, Pro, or Max)
- Any active Tier Boost from the referral program, with its countdown
- Your word-credit balance
- A link to the full billing page
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”Choose which updates you get in-app and by email:

Hotkeys
Section titled “Hotkeys”- See every configurable keyboard shortcut
- Click a shortcut and press a new key combination to change it
- Diglot warns you if a combination is already in use
- Press Escape to cancel
- Shortcuts are shown in your platform’s style — ⌘ on Mac, Ctrl on Windows
Security
Section titled “Security”- Authorship Protection — turn on the recording that powers your Authorship Certificate. It’s off by default, and you’ll see exactly what it records before you enable it.
- Active Sessions — see every device signed in to your account, and sign any of them out.
- API Keys — create and manage keys if you connect Diglot to your own tools.
Limitations
Section titled “Limitations”- Diglot is a single-user product for now — there are no team or organization settings.
- Multi-factor authentication and magic-link login aren’t available yet.
- Changing your email is confirmed by a quick verification step.
Common questions
Section titled “Common questions”- Where are my editor preferences? The General tab has your default languages and paraphrase style; the Interface tab has theme, fonts, and size.
- How do I change a keyboard shortcut? Hotkeys tab — click the shortcut, then press the new combination.
- Can I export all my data? Yes. Account tab → Export data — it downloads your documents and settings as a file.
- How do I cancel my subscription? Billing tab → Manage subscription, which opens the billing portal.
- What does Authorship Protection do? It records how you write so you can later generate an Authorship Certificate proving the document is yours.
- Can I change my email? Yes — edit it in the Account tab. You’ll verify the new address before the change takes effect.
