Three levels of research in one place: ask your own library, get a quick grounded answer from the web, or kick off a full literature report that searches scholarly databases and writes a cited synthesis — then save the best papers straight into your library.

What it does

Diglot’s research surface comes in three levels. Each one reaches a little wider than the last:

• Ask Library — get a fast answer from your own uploaded PDFs. Available on every plan.
• Web Answer — get one grounded answer pulled from the open web, with source links. Spark and up.
• Deep Research — start a full research run that searches scholarly databases and the web, then writes a structured, fully cited report. Pro and up.

Every level gives you answers with numbered citations that link to real sources. The best loop: run Deep Research, save the strongest papers it finds into your Research Library, then ask your library about them.

How to find it

• Ask Library — open the Research Library and ask a question about your uploaded sources.
• Web Answer — ask a question and get a single grounded answer drawn from the web.
• Deep Research — start a run and let it work in the background. A research run takes a few minutes; you’ll see it update as it goes. Diglot plans the question, searches, and writes the report for you.

How Deep Research handles cost

Each Deep Research run has a built-in spending limit so it never runs up an unexpected bill. If a run reaches that limit before finishing the write-up, it stops cleanly and gives you a partial report listing the sources it gathered so far — rather than quietly overspending. You can run it again or narrow your question to get a full synthesis.

If a run fails for any reason, it doesn’t count against your monthly allowance.

Limitations

• Deep Research does one planned pass of searching and writing — it doesn’t yet circle back to fill in gaps on its own.
• A research run works in the background and updates as it goes, rather than streaming word by word.
• Scholarly results come from open academic databases — not Google Scholar.

Common questions

What’s the difference between the three? Ask Library answers from your PDFs. Web Answer answers from the web. Deep Research writes a multi-source literature report from scholarly databases and the web.

Why did my Deep Research report stop early? It reached its per-run spending limit. You’ll still get the sources it gathered so far — just run it again or narrow the question for a full report.

Can I trust the citations? Yes. Each numbered marker is checked to point at a real source before it appears, and Diglot is instructed never to invent findings.

Can I save what it finds? Yes. Discovered papers can be saved into your Research Library in one click and cited into your document.

It says Deep Research needs Pro — why? Deep Research is on Pro and Max. Web Answer is on Spark and up. Ask Library is on every plan.
