Knowledge Graph

A visual map of everything you’ve created in Diglot — documents, PDFs, notes, and certificates — connected by their real relationships, so you can see at a glance how your work fits together.

What it does

The Knowledge Graph shows your whole workspace as an interactive map. Each dot is one of your items — a document, an uploaded PDF, a research note, or an authorship certificate. The lines between them are real connections: a document links to the sources it cites, a note links to its source, a certificate links to its document.

The result is one connected picture of your work. Items you reference more often appear larger, so your most-used sources naturally stand out.

How to find it

• Open the Graph from the sidebar.
• Your filter, display, and layout settings are remembered between visits.

What you can do

• Filter — search by text, or use the toggles to show or hide Documents, PDFs, Notes, and Certificates. There’s also an “only unconnected” option to find items that aren’t linked to anything yet.
• Adjust the display — turn arrows on the lines on or off, fade the labels, or change how thick the connecting lines are.
• Reshape the layout — use the sliders to spread items out or pull them closer, then re-settle the map with the Animate button.
• Inspect an item — click any dot to see what it is, what it connects to, and a quick legend with counts. Click through to open it in its normal view.

Limitations

• The graph is for exploring, not editing. You don’t draw connections directly here — they appear automatically as you cite, take notes, and create certificates.
• Tags don’t show up as their own dots on the map yet.

Common questions

What do the connections mean? They’re real relationships: a document links to the sources it cites, notes link to their source, and a certificate links to its document.

Why is one item bigger than another? Size reflects how connected an item is. A source cited by many documents grows larger.

Can I see only my unconnected items? Yes — use the “only unconnected” filter to find items that aren’t linked to anything.

I don’t see the Graph in my sidebar — why? The Graph can be turned off for some accounts. If it’s disabled for you, it won’t appear.

Can I focus the graph on one project? Yes — each project has its own view showing just that project’s items.
